Destination wedding week Amalfi Coast: What you cannot miss

From the Sorrento to Salerno, the Amalfi coast is truly an amazing drive.

Hire a car and take at least one drive south to Amalfi or further. The road itself is truly spectacular – hugging the cliffs, looking out over the sea and inland at some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere – and arguably one the best drives anywhere in the world.
Many lookout spots to stop for a fresh squeeze lemon juice drink in the beautiful views.

Positano deserve sometime to be enjoyed and it is the town where you can stay during your destination wedding week.

On the way from Positano to Amalfi, you can stop at Marina di Praia in Praiano, the last fishing village of the coast. Cool little beach with restaurant, boats beached on the sand, down below a bend in the road.

Stop the bridge over the Furore fjord and get a great view of the beach. On your way, you will notice different coastal towers (dating back to 8th century, built to defend the city states of the time).

Have a tour of the Emerald Grotto. The “guides” joke around quite a bit – it’s nothing spectacular, but kind of goofy fun.
Stop at the Duomo di Amalfi and going a bit further in the direction of Sorrento, have a stop at the Atrani, the smallest village in Italy and see the small Church of San Salvatore de Bireto, founded back in 940.

One day, if you like trekking, the Path of the Gods is something amazing to do.
Start from Agerola and arriving on foot to Positano, walking through the ancient root of the Amalfi Coast.
Rent a boat and enjoy the Amalfi coast from the sea. Plan a lunch in one of the restaurant accessible only by boat and then have a ride to see the sunset by the Faraglioni in Capri.
